Anaheim was once a sleepy town in Orange County, just South of Orange County. But since becoming home to Mickey Mouse and the Disney Land in the 1920s, the area has been transformed into once of the most frequented tourist destinations in the Country. The city has since become home to other destination parks such as Knott's Berry Farm, Disney's California Adventure, and a water parks. The area also hosts a myriad of excellent accommodations and restaurants and is only a 20-minute drive to both Los Angeles and some of the best beaches in Southern California.
For those interested in seeing Hollywood and Venice Beach consider flying into the LAX Los Angeles airport. Or, if you plan to stay in the Orange County area, consider flying into John Wayne airport in Santa Ana.
Hotels in Anaheim are generally located near Disneyland or more expensive hotels are avaiable in the park.
For hotels near Disneyland, consider
Ramada Plaza, or the
Hilton Anaheim.
If you prefer a hotel directly on the park premises and don't mind the additional cost, consider the
Disneyland Hotel
or the
Disney Grand California Hotel.
