Houston Hotels Overview
Houston is big business in Texas. The city is home to some of the World's largest and most successful enterprises and
because of the success Houston has seen, the city has experienced rapid growth, which now has it rivaling the traffic,
sprawl, and smog of Los Angeles. For these reasons location will be important in finding the right hotel in Houston.
Downtown is where most of the large businesses are located and so it is no surprise to find an assortment of luxurious
hotels such as the newly renovated
Four Seasons, or the
Lancaster Hotel,
which first opened as the Auditorium Hotel in the 1920s. The Galleria is technically a large mall but the neighborhood
built around this mall has also developed into a desirable part of the city, and most of the hotels in the area reflect
this with class and elegance. The
Doubletree Guest Suites
offers 26 stories of elegant suites, most with a breathtaking view of the entire area. The
Houstonian
is an elite institution with its own private health club and beauty spa, acres and acres of gorgeous landscaping,
and a golf course. If you require more affordable accommodations near the Airport, consider the
Red Roof Inn
near Hobby Airport offers one of the best deals in the city.
