Perhaps no other city offers more American History that Philadelphia, home of the United States Constitution and
the Liberty Bell. For those History-seeking tourists, Downtown is the destination of choice. On the East side of town,
by the Delaware River is Independence Hall (6th and Chestnut). The Liberty bell can be found just a little further down
6th Street at Chestnut, along with the city's museums and History Park.
Downtown Philadelphia hotels are a plenty ever since construction of the new convention center; hotel rooms in the city
nearly doubled overnight. For an affordable stay downtown try the
Comfort Inn,
or perhaps the
Marriot if you would like
a more upscale accomodation. Closer to the convention center consider
Hampton Inn and the
Hawthorne Suites.
Popular airport locations include:
The Fairfield, and
Studio Plus.
