Hotel Le Toiny

Rated 4.5 (excellent) in 220 reviews. 🛈

Surreal view overlooking a cliff, exquisite cuisine, and beautifully crafted wine card.

Guest review

Hotel Le Toiny is romantically situated on the beachfront, on the island’s more quiet and private side. From its spot, you can overlook one of St. Bart’s best surf locations, and excellent beaches to swim in are only a short drive away.

The hotel:

With some of the oldest buildings on the island and coastal-chic interiors, Le Toiny is arguably one of the most romantic hideaways on Saint Barthélemy. An à la carte breakfast is delivered to your private terrace every morning at a pre-appointed time.

  • 22 villas, with 1 or 2 bedrooms
  • all villas feature a private pool and a terrace with a coastal view
  • spacious and open-plan with abundant whites
  • airconditioning
  • free WiFi

Amenities:

There are tons to do at and around the hotel, but everyone in the mood for a relaxed day at the beach can find a soft sand beach near the Toiny Beach Club.

  • on-site spa with Ligne St. Barth products
  • small gym and private yoga or pilates sessions can be arranged
  • gourmet restaurant, with Mediterranean cuisine
  • hiking tracks close by

Good to know:

  • the villas are a lengthy walk (uphill on the way home) from the nearest rock-filled beach
  • the beach is better suited to surfers than swimmers, but the island’s best beaches (Saline and Gouverneur) are not far away

In comparison to the other high-end hotels of St. Barth is ‘Christopher St Barth’ more down-to-earth and in a quieter part of the island. That doesn’t mean it’s not posh, but it has an unpretentious and welcoming atmosphere to it.

The hotel:

Christopher St Barth is located on the island’s north coast and has a contemporary style, featuring bright, crisp colors. The hotel terrace offers a fantastic sunset view because the property faces west.

The location is perfect. An almost private beach, I just wish the beach was more swimmable (I wasn’t aware of windward side of island).

Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa

Rated 4.9 (exceptional) in 604 reviews. 🛈

I stayed in a beautifully clean and spacious room facing their well known infinity pool. Also, couldn’t get enough of their XL shower and the smart mosquito net to enjoy a bug-free nightcap!

Guest review

Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa is a stunning property with private beach and water sports facilities, set in the Nature Reserve of St. Baths.

The hotel:

It’s a lively full-scale resort and spa with a contemporary design. The rooms allow views of the lush nature surrounding the Le Barthélemy, and the upper room categories also view the ocean. Most guest rooms come with a private patio or terrace, and some even have a private plunge pool.

  • 46 guest rooms, of which 2 villas
  • air conditioning
  • coffee making facility
  • walk-in rainfall shower
  • free WiFi

The amenities:

Around the hotel, guests can enjoy lots of activities, and the hotel can help to book them. The hotel has an infinity pool that’s right on the water, providing a better alternative to swimming in the ocean: the water in the cove is only waist deep, and there’s usually lots of kites- and windsurfing going on.

  • on-site restaurant with French cuisine
  • free airport shuttle
  • babysitting can be arranged
  • outdoor swimming pool
  • on-site spa

Good to know:

If you’re looking for privacy, skip the ground-level ocean suites. Their private garden and terraces might be at a convenient distance to the beach and pool, but it makes them not really private.

  • children and pet friendly
