Just off the Champs-Élysées La Reserve is nestled in a peaceful side street overlooking the lush greenery of the Jardin des Champs-Élysées.

The building is a recently renovated, typical Haussmann-style mansion and was initially built for the half-brother of Napoleon III.

A hotel located in a former clothing workshop overlooking a pretty tree-shaded square in the 2e arrondissement. It’s a central location in Paris, an edgy neighborhood with local businesses and just a short walk from Grands Boulevards.

The hotel:

  • 12 guest rooms
  • Every room is uniquely designed. The owner invited different artist friends to design a room
  • The rooms are on the small side
  • Quiet rooms. Former guests mentioned they weren’t bothered by noise from the street or the in-house restaurant
  • Design of the public areas in a bright turquoise color palette

The apartment is situated on the top level of a historical building with features like exposed beam cathedral ceilings, an open fireplace, and a small balcony from which you can overlook a typical Parisian street. The furnishing is colorful yet chic.

The place:

You’ll stay in the 2nd arrondissement, and it’s only a 15 minutes walk to the Louvre. Other prominent tourist sights and public transport are easily accessible, and there are many restaurants and bars close.
